He applied to many clubs and was rejected, unfortunately. Thiago played for low-tier football clubs. In 2001, he joined the RS Futebol club and started his football career. He worked hard to improve his talent and became a better player. In 2004, Thiago joined the Juventude club and played for six months. He attracted world attention through his playing and joined with Porto. However, he could not play for the team but waited as a reserve player.
Then doctors found Thiago was suffering from Tuberculosis, and he got treatment for six months to overcome the illness. His dedication cured him of the disease. After being released from the hospital, he could not walk for long and felt tired immediately. But he never gave up but worked hard to overcome difficulties and again started to play football. After recovering from his health condition, he joined the club Fluminense. Fluminense won Copa do Brazil in 2007 with Thiago’s marvelous playing. In 2008, Thiago signed a four-year contract with Milan for €10 million. Paolo Maldini and Carlo Ancelotti taught new techniques and lessons to shape young talent.
